- Manage Data and Files - The OS makes it easy for you to organize your computer. Through the OS you are able to do a number of things to data, including copy, move, delete, and rename it. This makes it much easier to find and organize what you have.
Linux is a computer operating system. The core of Linux is the Linux Kernel. Linux Kernel was initially developed by Linus Torvards at year 1991. Like other operating system, Linux Kernel relays instructions from an application to, for instance, the computer's processor. The processor performs the instructed task, then sends the results back to the application via the operating system. Since Linux is assembled under the model of free and open source software development and distribution, hence Linux comes in many variant which called as distribution or distro. Some of famous Linux distributions are RedHat, SuSE, Debian, Ubuntu, Centos, Scientific Linux , etc.
